AskMyHome is committed to making our product usable for everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
What we do
- Design with sufficient color contrast and scalable text.
- Provide keyboard navigation for all interactive elements.
- Label form fields, buttons, and icons for screen readers.
- Use semantic HTML and ARIA where appropriate.
- Test on modern versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge with VoiceOver and NVDA.
Known limitations
AskMyHome is a young product and some areas may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We prioritize accessibility fixes alongside other work and appreciate reports.
Why we don't use an accessibility overlay
Third‑party accessibility "widgets" or overlays often interfere with assistive technology and have been the subject of consumer complaints. We prefer to fix accessibility issues in the product itself.
Report an issue or request an alternative format
Email support@askmyhome.app with the page URL and a short description. We aim to respond within 5 business days and to provide the information in an alternative format (for example, plain text) on request.
