- Photograph ceilings, attic corners, foundation edges, and downspout exits.
- Check gutters, roof edges, exterior faucets, sump pump, and drainage.
- Find the roof warranty, last service invoice, and home-insurance claim number.
- Schedule HVAC service before the first hot week.
Upload the inspection receipt and every contractor estimate to the home it belongs to. Next spring, you can ask what was repaired, who did it, and whether the workmanship warranty still applies.
